Just had the most amazing one night stay here with my boyfriend. Staff on arrival were very welcoming and informative. We stayed in Snowdrop which was such a beautiful pod, very clean and with everything you needed. Hot tub was gorgeous and at perfect temperature, easy to use and very clean. We didn’t eat at their restaurant on the night we ventured out for our tea as there’s plenty of places around. Breakfast in the morning was beautiful also, we have really enjoyed our stay and feel very relaxed and refreshed. Will definitely be coming to stay again.

We had a one night stay in Buttercup. Location was perfect opposite the small fountain which lit up as it got dark. The layout of the lodge was lovely. Clean and had everything we needed. We opted for the extra wood for the log burner which was nice to enjoy after a break from the hot tub which was nicely decorated come the evening. We'll definitely be returning!

Like going through the back of the wardrobe to get to Narnia this little piece of fairyland is|accessed via a small gap in a terrace of houses on a hill, - blink and you will miss it! Then|squeezing between back yard allotments you follow a winding track that still gives no indication of|what lies beyond, past Stewart’s house the story begins to unfold … We arrived on a Sunday, are|you hungry? he said -go down to the bar by the fishing ponds; there we were served a delicious|Sunday dinner the size of which I hadn’t seen since my Grandma died, ten pounds!…. no wonder|they sell a hundred dinners each Sunday.|We had come here in our motorhome with our bicycles on the 200th anniversary of the first public|railway journey anywhere in the world with the birth of the Stockton to Darlington Railway… which|really started in Shildon at the first railway station in the world! LOCOMOTION, a wonderful|extension of the National Railway Museum in York is a short walk across one of Stewart’s fields|from the site entrance, it’s a fascinating few hours particularly if you get a wet day.|Anyway, we didn’t and we cycled our socks off returning to the hottest most generous shower we|have ever experienced on a campsite. Stewart is very proud of what he has done on this his|project of the last ten years or so… he showed us around the very swish glamping pods, each|with its own adjoining hot tub building with wood stove and ‘feasting’ table for socialising with|your friends. It really is very impressive.|We arrived after a night of torrential rain during which the sky-light in our van began to leak|remorselessly into our bed, not a pleasant experience. We told Stewart about this when we|arrived and he said that he would put Bobby, his joiner, in the bucket of his telehandler and lift him|up to have a look, Bobby stripped away the old cracked mastic and resealed us with a tube of|new. Neither of them wanted a penny for this hour or so of work! Two really nice men! Thank you|both.

Liked: The staff were really friendly. Liked the location of the pod . It was very private. It was very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Lovely shower. Disliked: Too expensive for what was provided. The hot tub filter wasn’t clean and the water was a bit murky . Tea tray was a bit stingy . Just one coffee satchel each and a couple of loose tea bags. One hand towel provided and 2 smallish towels provided to be used for both shower and hot tub. I would have appreciated to be told to bring towels . We were using wet towels after the first dip in hot tub so we were very uncomfortable. Nowhere to hang wet things . No extras like bathrobes provided . Food available but at hours I didn’t want. (3-5) Breakfast available at 10. Checkout at 10 am but staff cleaning hot tub 9:30 am Sounds of drills and hammers from check in until about 5:45 pm which affected the tranquility of my experience. My daughter and I both complained of ear ache after the visit. Considered it could be from a dirty hot tub filter.

Absolutely amazing!! Highly recommend, we’ve visited a fair few glamping pods and nothing tops this! The staff so lovely and nothing is too much of an ask! The pods are immaculate and the hot tubs are so clean! The food portions are massive for such a little price! We will be visiting again!
