Lidl

I`ve only visited this place once which was a few months ago and I`m sorry to say that it was a negative experience. I was stuck in the queue with about 5 or 6 other shoppers and there was a member of staff in her 50s/60s doing a few bits and bobs at the front of the shop and when asked by the gentleman in front of me if anyone was serving she rudely replied "yeah me" and carried on taking her time fulfilling miscellaneous tasks. When on the till she opened up another till by pressing a button and no one moved. Maybe, if she`d been a bit more attentive then there wouldn`t of been the need to summon help. When help arrived the other worker said jokingly "does no one like me" which is fine as there`s nothing wrong with a sense of humour. But the grumpy old bag abruptly said "obviously not" which was a pop at the customers. Now for a little lesson in manners and customer service: What you should of said was: "I`m sorry to keep you waiting, but I`ll be with you in a minute", which would`ve been much better than her abrupt manner. Also, till number x is now opening please would some of you mind loading your shopping onto that belt". Just remember, customers pay your wages. Your attitude and manners were disgusting that day and you should not be anywhere near a customer. They say first impressions count and this is so true. Every time I think of Lidl Melksham, this is what comes to mind. Maybe, if self service check outs were installed like Aldi than this wouldn`t of happened.

Good food prices lots of fresh fruits and meat nice helpful staff and very clean and bright nice wide aisles there's plenty of free parking with plenty of disabled parking as well melksham store is a lot smaller than the one i us in Chippenham but was very busy plus they opened up more tills so the queues were not very long nice touch that's the reason I go Lidl

A totally unprofessional and rude older woman who works on the till laughted and told me I couldn't get a refund on items I had been overcharged on. I spoke to the manager who was very polite and gave me the refund. I advise you keep your receipts and make sure you check you have been charged the correct price when visiting this store.

Lots of space to park a motorhome whilst shopping

Well stocked supermarket, most of your favourite brands. As always excellent selection in middle of Lidl, various items of clothing, tools and trinkets. Frozen foods, selection of breads & pastries. Alcohol if required. Even queues disappear quickly. Friendly helpful staff. Recommend all day long.

Decent sized, well stocked store in the town centre. The store sits in the middle of the one way system and has separate entrance and exit. Never had an issue with parking here but imagine it can get full during busy times. The usual lengthy queues at the till but staff were welcoming and friendly.

CONGRATULATIONS AND A HUGE THANK YOU helping an elderly lady nearly passing out at the point of payment on Thu 2 February at lunchtime.I had 3 members of your staff attending me The jolly positive cashiers arranging a chair, another lovely lady giving me water and arranging for my legs to be raised. What I assume was the manager also came and made sure if he could help in any way. All I needed was to sit down and drink my water and the help from the wonderful staff to recover. After 30 min I felt ok and assured them I was fine to drive home. They even offered to help me pack my shopping in the car. Their spontaneous concern and help really touched my heart. Thank you!

Great value and well stocked. Only frustration is the checkouts. No self service and if your only wanting to buy a basket full you could easily find yourself stuck waiting behind 3 full trolleys. Plus awkward to repack as only a small area behind the till at waist level. Overall value in price is why I keep shopping their
