I had one of the BEST hot chocolates at the weekend. Really warming and much needed in the middle of our autumnal walk. The lady was super friendly and chatty and gave me an excellent helping of marshmallows Gluten free brownie was 👌🏻 and there were vegan options too. Would walk back to get another 🤩

Fantastic open area by the river Thames. Fresh n tasty toasty and coffee. Super pets friendly while the shop provides water for dog. Also kids friendly. Children can be running and playing around on the green. You may walk or ride bike to here. Car can be parked at the nearby off street paid road.

We absolutely love this little hidden gem! Friendly service, great coffee, great food and ice cream. Reasonable prices and lovely view of the river. Such a nice little spot before/after a walk along the river. We need more places like this!

Lovely little cafe by the river. Tuna melt and cappuccino were both delicious! Lots of benches and dog friendly.

I decided to pop by and check out the new owners. They didn't disappoint; it's great to see this local business being taken over by Kingston residents who truly care. As someone with allergies, I really appreciated the clear allergen labels and wide choice of alternative milks – they had them all (oat/soya/coconut/almonds). Although they seemed to be finding their feet, I can tell this business will continue to thrive with time. I've been twice since the opening; the croissant was huge – a personal favorite, along with their fresh fruit smoothies and vegan banana cake. Also had their dairy free frappe! Big thanks to Becky and Holly who served me!

Lovely little place. There is plenty of outside seating and looks inviting. Their ice cream really is lovely! I went 2 days in a row, just for the ice cream! Set within Canbury Gardens. Very peaceful with the River Thames in the background.

Disappointed by the experience, despite the potential. This was my first weekend at this lovely community garden, and I was really looking forward to supporting local independent businesses. I usually prefer them over big chains because of the service, the human touch, and the sense of community they offer. Unfortunately, this café failed to deliver any of that. What appeared to be the manager spent most of the time on her phone or bossing the staff around — particularly one young woman who, on both days, seemed to be doing her best under pressure. On Saturday, she was making coffees and asking for some support, or at least help with taking names due to the high volume and confusion with similar drinks. Today, she was on till duty, and I felt genuinely uncomfortable witnessing her being scolded loudly while she was taking my order. Her eyes were visibly teary, and as a customer, I felt disrespected too — you can’t interrupt service just to speak rudely to a team member in front of guests. I also ordered a pain aux raisin that was still frozen inside. When I mentioned it, the manager gave me a sharp look as if I was exaggerating or lying, while the same young woman kindly tried to offer me an alternative. I would have liked to share some constructive feedback directly, but I felt the only thing I could do in that moment was to show support to the staff member who clearly needed it. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back. It’s a real shame — the café has potential, but what’s missing is a culture of respect, both towards customers and, more importantly, the staff who are doing their best...
