We stopped in for lunch today and we're very pleased with our meal. We got a burger with grilled onions, and cole slaw on the side, and the Hawaiian Chicken sandwich with fries. We also got an order of onion rings. The onion rings were massive. They were hot, fresh, and tasted amazing. The batter was flavorful and crispy. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Perfectly crispy. I loved the cole slaw. Both the burger and sandwich were really good as well. The portions are massive and we both had leftovers. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend stopping in to Sugar Shane's!

Great experience for Dad+3 on the way home from a fishing trip to Butler Co. There was no wait for a table at lunchtime on a Monday. The wait staff was very patient with the kids and the apps and main courses were delivered quickly. The large burgers were fantastic. I added a fried egg to my cheeseburger and that made it perfect.

We were looking for a good place to eat in Augusta, and our daughter said we should try Shane's. Certainly glad we did! The food was delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was very unique. The decor feels like a down home restaurant on the Gulf coast with lights strung on the ceiling, posters and pictures of surfboards and other seaside items. The service was fast and friendly, with a real effort made to please the diner. Some of us ordered dinners, and some had burgers. it was all very tasty! I would like to mention the onion rings. I've had good rings and many bad rings, but these topped the charts. Simply amazing. The burgers are half=pound, so you'd better be hungry. Since our daughter has moved to Augusta, we will be making regular stops at Shane's.

The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. But what really stood out was the exceptional service I received from Brandon at the bar. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. It’s rare to find that level of genuine hospitality these days, and Brandon delivered it with ease. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everything from start to finish made me want to come back again soon. Hats off to the team at Sugar Shane’s — you’ve got a great thing going here! Nice small restaurant in the quaint town of Augusta. A cafe atmosphere with a very nice feel, the burgers and catfish we ordered were good. Fast friendly service, reasonably priced, unfortunately we were too full to try their desserts. For a nice change of pace and simple but good food, I recommend trying this restaurant. Ps. Definitely order the onion rings!

This place is really cool and rural America, a.k.a. Augusta, Kansas. Think of the movie pulp fiction and the diner in that movie called Jack rabbit slims . With that in mind this place remind you of it he doesn’t have a big dance stage, but it does have a really eclectic and cool feel to it. This place has an ample number of tables and booths, which happen to have white vinyl over them, which make it feel like some kind of 1957 Chevy. From what I could see that even have out rental rooms for events and this place really has a cool vibe and you should do that. The menu is just right on price and size. There’s not too many items but there’s plenty to give you a wide selection. A couple of us in our group had the taco salad, which really was very nice for taco salad. If you’re in Augusta, Kansas, and you want a cool place with a great feeling friendly people and good food this is definitely the place to go. The sign outside says world, famous, and this thing could be franchise so someday it might be.

A very unique place. Found it in Augusta Kansas and I enjoy their food. I have been there a few times and always get something different. The have a lot of fish options which are very good. Awesome atmosphere.
