Premier Inn Gloucester (Barnwood) hotel

A great standard Premier Inn; rooms very clean, staff friendly, buffet breakfast just what you'd expect. Lots of free parking and very convenient to get to. Our room was quite a bit bigger than what you normally get at a Premier Inn, and the windows opened, which is a plus. Like a lot of modern/recently done-out Premier Inn's, you know exactly what you're getting and this one is no exception.

Another great stay at a Premier inn. We stayed here for 1 night as a half way break on our trip to Cornwall. Clean, comfortable room and a great full breakfast!. Tasty food provided by the team. Thank you Craig, Amelia and Chloe, hard working friendly staff. We will be making a return visit.

Have stayed at this premier inn twice for a sports competition for our son. The staff are so lovely and friendly. The pub next door is fine for a family dinner. |The hotel is really lovely and quiet and we slept well both times.|Best bit is breakfast. We are always there early doors and the food it hot and fresh with a lovely chef who'll happily cook poached eggs.

Great location with easy access to M5. Lots of free parking. Friendly welcome. Great sized room. Really good night's sleep. Good breakfast in the morning with regular restocking of food and drink. Quiet. Would recommend and stay there again,👍

Overall it was a decent stay. I liked that it was very quiet and the room itself was comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. My main complaint on the room is it doesn’t look like the dust or clean certain areas. There was a lot of dirt on the sides which looked like it had been there a while. The location was not great as I did not have a car and there was only one restaurant close by. Thankfully that restaurant was good so I went there most nights. The service was so so depending on who was at the front desk. The most disappointing point was when I wanted breakfast which I hadn’t reserved I was told by the very rude front desk girl they were full. However the place was only 50% full and I saw open seats everywhere. When I passed the breakfast area 20 mins later it was still mostly empty. So they lost a customer’s business for my remaining stay. This in itself really was not the best experience.

No one at reception when we arrived. Not overly friendly when they came. Room was dusty. Obviously Not hoovered. Reception said they only get hoovered when deep cleaned.... shouldn't we have a deep cleaned room on every visit.. I wouldnt think a hoovered qas standard in a clean.. they said they use a robot.. ive ine at home. They sweep. Dont suck.. but in the morning when staff doing changeovers i saw no hoovers. No robots. Just a floor scraper mop thing. ||the rooms arnt exactly cheap.. I expected hoovered room. Dusted. Bare minimum. ||||I Didn't take my socks off to walk on the carpet. ||booked a family room for myself and my 6yo son.. only the double bed made up. Not the single. No bedding. Only one set of towels provided. Dispite 2 people booked into room. Regardless of age.. 2 people. Was too late to sort once in the shower. Heater didn't work. ||Breakfast was fine. No tomatoes.. apparently tom didn't want to play that day.. is what cheff said. ||The pup next door was Standard. Warm food.. not hot, overpriced. £17 for belly pork on mash with a couple carrots. But Filled a gap. ||Was a 45 minute wait on food. We waited 45 mins and came back to be told the same, 45 min wait for food. Staff in the pub lovely.

Good location, comfortable room, very comfy bed and a great night's sleep. Emma who booked us in on both recent visits, was very helpful and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble, from getting some fresh milk for our room and then hunting in the kitchen for a bottle opener which, although she couldn't find, suggested I ask at the restaurant which I did and they were quite happy to do that.

We have stayed in many Premier Inn hotels over the years and we have always enjoyed our stay. ||This establishment however was just awful. The shower wasn't connected to the bath connection so water flooded everywhere. Hardly any water actually came out of the shower head. ||The toilet seat was hanging off. ||The air con was so loud we had to switch it off while in the room as you couldn't hear each other speak. ||The window ledge and frame were full of dead flies and very sticky. ||The TV wouldn't switch on. ||We didn't get into to the room until after 8pm to find out the problems and by that time, we couldn't be bothered with the hassle of asking the 1 member of staff to help. It's put me off staying in a Premier Inn in the future.
